EDWARD MINAR

Edward joins the UAA team as an Intern Architect. He has a deep-seated passion for shaping the built environment to empower users through the thoughtful utilization of the local environment’s unique attributes.

He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon, where he had the opportunity to acquire invaluable insights that emphasizes net-zero design through a human-centred approach.

Edward began his professional journey in 2019, assisting in a range of projects that included workplace renovations in the United States and the design of residential villas and single-family houses in Indonesia.

Originating from Jakarta, Indonesia, Edward's personal connection to the region fuels his ambition to effect meaningful change. He is determined to enhance the accessibility of affordable housing in developing countries and concurrently empower those who will call these spaces home.

His journey has recently brought him to Vancouver, where he holds deep gratitude for the Musqueam/xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Squamish/Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and Tsleil-Waututh/Sel̓íl̓witulh peoples for their gracious permission to reside and work on their unceded territories.
