Armen Mamourian

As a registered architect, Armen has been practicing architecture for nearly 15 years. His work has been mainly focused in the public realm in the Lower Mainland and throughout British Columbia and has helped successfully deliver community, recreation, and post secondary projects.

While a recent addition to the Urban Arts team, Armen has hit the ground running with community and residential projects. He is cognizant that architecture and the resulting built environment can have a transformational effect on communities and can have the power to enhance and enrich the lives of those who use these spaces, regardless of scale.

He is passionate about investigating and understanding the requirements of a project and of working closely with users and translating their ambitions and values into a product that everyone can be proud of. He is a problem solver by nature and detail oriented. He works diligently with client groups, consultants, contractors, and construction managers to help bring the design to reality while striving to stay true to the design intent.

Originally from Toronto, Armen pursued his architectural studies in BC and graduated from the University of British Columbia’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture in 2009.
