ABOUT

Urban Arts Architecture was retained for the renovation of the Museum + Visitor’s Centre in Quesnel.

The scope of work includes a refresh of the exterior entry, and signage and a renovation to the Visitor’s Centre and staff area. Exterior work includes the addition of a new entry canopy, vestibule and signage, giving presence to the centre from the exterior and revitalizing the outdoor display area.

Custom millwork transforms the display into a focal point. Modular units accommodate a variety of material from brochures to rental fishing equipment and brings warmth and depth to the space. A refreshment station, gathering area and computer counter allows visitors to engage with staff and material to get the most out of their visit.

The palette reinforces the city’s new branding, and the strong reflects the city’s strong connection to the surrounding environment.
